Instructor: Kent Hildebrand
Who the class is for:
Advanced Puppy is for puppies that have completed Puppy Kindergarten. It is also open to older puppies who may not have had previous formal training.
What you will learn:
We build on the basic commands taught in Puppy Kindergarten (sit, down, come, stand, stay, walk). The puppies learn to come in the presence of distractions. They learn to hold sit or down stays when owners go out ofsight (to get a treat for them, of course!). They learn to walk on a loose leash at various paces, and sit automatically when their handler comes to a halt. We are always happy to answer questions you may have about canine behavior. This class to will be fun for you and your dog, while you continue to build a strong bond of love and respect.
What to bring:
- a collar (of any type) that will not slip over your dog’s head (if your pup decides to back up, for example, he should not be able to back out of his collar),
- a leash,
- non-crunchy food treats, like hot dog slices or bits of cheese, and
- a favorite toy.
How to sign up:
